The history of Georgian tea dates back to 1847, when the first tea bushes of Chinese varieties were ordered and planted by Governor General Vorontsov. Although in 1900 Georgian tea "Dyadyushkin's Russian tea" was awarded a gold medal at the world exhibition in Paris, tea production in Georgia reached its greatest development during the Soviet Union, but after its collapse, it fell into decay.
For more than 20 years, most of the tea plantations in Georgia have been forgotten and abandoned. In many places, a forest has grown during this time, and tea bushes have been reborn. Incredibly, this is what made it possible to obtain now the unique, most valuable tea in the world - wild tea. It is this tea that we are pleased to present under the Permeris brand. This is the most environmentally friendly, clean, delicious and homemade tea that can be, because it was created only by nature and people who have preserved and brought it to your table like that.
